Beating a level

Papa's Pancakeria is a game where you play as some guy/chick and you're in charge of running this pancake store. You start off ordering a pizza somewhere when your pet (Cookie the cat for the guy, Pickle the dog for the girl) jumps out of your car and you go and find them somewhere on top of a mountain. When you get there the shop owner leaves you a note that tells you to take care of the shop while they're gone.

This is basically like all the other Papa Louie cooking games, where you take orders on one screen, cook things on another screen, and decorate things on the last. The idea for this series of games is somewhat unique, because there are games like this but they're typically really crappy or hard to find.

Other than that, this game has pretty good graphics, the music is nice and fits the game, as do the sound effects. There aren't really any glitchy things that I found, and it's just pretty well built in general.

El Papel

What

El Papel is a game where you control El Macho's head and navigate through pipes and between cactuses and such to get to toilet paper, because you are trapped in a toilet stall with no paper and your 'Luchas' are about to start. And I'm assuming that the Luchas are a supr srs tournament.

The idea is kind of odd, but interesting. Because I don't think I've seen many games where you control this guy's head and his forever-stretchy neck to get toilet paper.So the idea is pretty good, the graphics are nice for this sort of game, and the music was fitting as well. The only thing that I really found that was wrong with it was how slidey the game was. Like it was easier to just reset the level than go back because of how slippery the controls were.

Mermaid City

Rekt

Mermaid City (which isn't as nearly girly as it sounds) is a game where you play as Chad (le guy in the green shirt), who runs a hot dog stand at the beach. Then this 'punk kid' shows up and steals your business by threatening all your customers that he's going to stab them if they buy from you, so they all buy his hot dogs instead.

It's basically just a point-click game like the rest, but it's a lot better than Where's My Cat which I blogged earlier. This one has like at least 15+ minutes of game time if you're slower at this stuff than other people. I didn't really find anything wrong with the game actually, it was well-programmed.

The graphics, as you can see, were pretty good for a lil NotDoppler game, and the idea was somewhat new, as I don't think I've played as a hot dog vendor on the beach before. The music is kinda nice at first but it just gets really slow and boring after a bit. There's no slideyness because it's not that kind of game.

Sequester

Sequester is a mildly horrifying game where you play as that lil kid dere and you travel throughout your dreams where you can listen to your dead sister talking to you. But oh man. This game is good as hell.

Basically you start off in your bed on each level. You wake up and you're like 'wut' and then you navigate throughout the zone. Each zone is 3D and you can walk to the edge of the screen and it flips you to another part. There are like, 30 zones in all? And at the beginning of each one, your sister tells you a part of her story before she died, but it's just told like she's having a chat, and not narrating something.

The controls are almost perfect, I just had a few moments sometimes where it slid but it's nothing too serious. The graphics are beautiful. The music is awesome and fits the game's theme and the narration is great. The only thing I didn't really like was the monsters in it, and that was only because they scared me to death the first time I saw one comin at me. Other than that it's an 11/10 game.

Where's My Cat?

Where's My Cat? is a somewhat disappointingly short game where you play as this old chick (Mrs. Glick) and you try and find your unnamed cat. The whole game time is like, 5 minutes. They could've put a lot more work into it but it's just one of those tiny games with nothing really to it.

Basically its just a point-click game where you pick up random (slightly hidden) objects around each zone and use them all to the best of your ability to get your cat back, who ran away. There really isn't much to say about it here since it had like nothing to it.

The idea? Not very original. The music? Was good, wish it didn't make me go deaf when I put my headphones on originally. Graphics? They were alright for this sort of tiny game. Overall I'd give this game a 4/10. Wish they put some more work into it. But it was cute. Here it is.

i saw her across the world

double zombies yo

i saw her across the world is a game in which you control a zombie couple (one at a time) and maneuver yourself throughout different maps (playing tag in the beginning, then hide and seek, and then you're like climbing up a mountain or somethin cause yolo). There are 3 endings that you can get, all of which don't require anything special except you walking over and clicking that you want that ending.

There are a bunch of different zones to complete, and about maybe 45 minutes of full gametime, which is rather long in my opinion. It's not really that hard except for animals and people, who can both kill you (but only the humans with guns). Other than that it's just avoiding falling into pits and stuff.

On each level there's some text that tells the story of you and your lover. It just tells how you started off real people and turned into zombies during the zombpocalypse and you've always loved each other. You get to pick the gender and color of both of your characters, and you can even make them bi or genderless.

The graphics aren't really that good, but I suppose it's on purpose. The music is alright, and I wouldn't really change it. I mostly liked this for the story, because the rest of the aspects aren't that fantastic. The only thing I really disliked was one level full of lasers that I died in about 50 times. But other than that it's a good game, and you can play it here.

Vegan Vampire

This level that I've been stuck on for 15 minutes

Vegan Vampire is a game where you control a vampire, and he beats levels by collecting all the fruits on the level. There is garlic that you can't touch because it'll kill you, energy drinks that make you jump farther and run faster, and burgers that make you fatter to break through some walls, run slower, and jump smaller.

The graphics are nice, not really beautiful or anything but the designer clearly spent some time makin em. The music is cool, reminds me of some kinda cheesy comedy vampire film. Which fits. I like the idea for it, I haven't really seen anything else like it, especially not the drink effect thing.

Only thing I didn't really like was how the controls are a little slidey, so you die a lot on some harder levels. I'd give it an 8/10 overall. Play it here.

Super Pig

DEATH

Super Pig is a game in which you control this beach-ball shaped pig and you try to get to the end of the level to find your girlfriend pig who apparently hates you. But this is a rage game, so you only have 5 lives and the whole of each level is a maze, with spikes and enemies and stuff. The level starts off completely black each time, and every time you die you get blood on the surrounding area, so that the next time you go it's easier to find out where to go to get to the end.

The music is good, and it fits the gameplay. The graphics aren't laggy at all and it's kind of crappy looking but that's how the game is meant to be. The controls are purposely slidey because rage game, so that's alright.

The only thing I really disliked, is of course, the fact that you die a billion times, but that's just the purpose of the game. I do like how if you die enough times you get Godmode which makes it so you can run an infinite amount of times without having to reset the level.

World's Hardest Game 3

This is a rage game in which you control a red square and navigate between fast moving blue circles as you try to get to the green sections of each level (checkpoints) which get you closer to beating it. It sounds rather simple when you say it but it's actually almost impossible when you play it. The screenshot on the right is actually the 3rd level, and I died over 50 times already. And I'm not a baddie. It's just hard.

The music is sorta techno-poppy, and it's pretty fun to listen to, it really fits the game's mood. The graphics are purposely crappy, but as said, they fit the game's mood as well. The controls are nearly flawless, the only problem I've had is getting to a safe spot on time before dying, but that's just on purpose.

Other than that, it's a great game, and I still can't beat it. But, you can play it here if you'd like.

Warlords: Heroes

You killing people

Warlords: Heroes seems like a fun game but it is actually extremely boring. You get to pick a story to play (some elf, a human, or an orc) and you run around and... kill people. It actually seems sort of interesting, because the person had to make up stories for these characters so you could play them. There are cutscene things but they take so long to go through that I just skip them.

I only played the elf questline thing, and as shown above, he looks more like a human than an elf... I played the orc one for like 5 seconds just now and it's equally as crappy, its just a green person. Meh.

The music is alright, it fits the game's style (at least, the style its trying to have). The graphics are, of course, bad. The thing I mostly dislike is how slow you attack, like the computer can't process it fast enough or something, so you die a lot. Overall it's just a pretty meh game. If they remade it but with better controls/graphics it'd be great.

Fishing Girl

Fishin'

Fishing Girl is a pretty relaxing game in which you control a non-movable fishing girl. I believe you're supposed to beat the game by rescuing this kid on another island by like, throwing your bobber over there. But until then you're just supposed to keep casting it into the ocean between the two islands and catching fish. There are 3 kinds of fish and 2 are shown on the screenshot. The really little ones are the easiest to get and sell for almost no gold. There are medium fish which sell for a lil bit and aren't too hard to catch. The really large ones (shown) sell for a lot but are rather complicated to catch.

The game has nice graphics and really calm music which puts it in a good mood and fits the game. I don't really have any complaints, except for that the tiny fish keep eating my lure so I can't catch bigger ones. Other than that it's a great game.

Bloons 2

Bloons 2: aka another boring game in a series of boring games

Bloons is a rather dumb game in which you control this non-movable monkey and shoot darts at balloons. It's extremely simplistic and pretty childlike, although it seems to be a somewhat popular series on the internet. The other/newer bloons games are more like Tower Defense Games, but Bloons 2 is just kind of boring.

The music is alright, it sorta fits the game, and makes it slightly more interesting. It has okay backgrounds and maps for playing in, and the balloon design is bearable. The monkey is kinda crappy looking but it's still distinguishable.

I kind of hate Bloons games in general, because they just seem really stupid. So that's why this is so negative sounding. They just seem so childlike and boring.

Jellydad Hero

In jellydad hero you control a blue blob of gelatin who's apparently a father who goes around this pirate spaceship trying to free his wife and son. Really kind of a stupid idea for a game but mk. Your game starts out in your spacecar thing and you're flying to the beach with your family where you get sucked into the Pirate Spaceship Thing and you wake up in a glass tube. You break out of the tube and run around the spaceship. I got past where you have to free your wife (who doesn't go with you, she just gets out of her pipe/capsule and goes away on her own.

There are only 30 levels and 3 extras, I believe, which is actually a decent number for a crappy lil flash game on one of these websites which has like 20 billion games. It's graphics and controls are pretty smooth, and there aren't really any flaws I found in gameplay. The only thing I dislike is the music. Like ew, it's so happy. If you're on a pirate spaceship rescuing somebody you'd probably play like, metal or excited. But it's pianos and synth guitars and banjos. Eh.

Earn To Die

The last truck you unlock in the game

In Earn to Die you play as this guy in some vehicles trying to get to this helicopter in this zombie-infested world. You're playing in some desert thing with a lot of dunes and mesas in the background. The art isn't really that fantastic, but it was made a few years ago, so you can't really expect much.

The game idea is alright, I don't think I've played many games like this before. I definitely haven't played one where you can put rockets on the back of your truck that you control. Or machine guns on the front. Machine guns that shoot zombies.

The only thing I really didn't like was how the zombies stuck to the front of your car after you killed some of them, so it made it nearly impossible to drive because they kind of nuked your momentum and made you waste a bunch of gas. The only way I found to avoid this was use your rocket boost but then you wasted your limited amount of gas trying to get zombies off your windshield, and it was just rather annoying. One thing I did like though was how you could upgrade your vehicles so many times, so it wasn't just faceroll trying to beat the game, and you actually had something to do.

Snaaaake!

Killing things as the Snake

In this game you control a rather large snake, and you go around different zones and kill people and destroy things. You have a twoish minute timer to kill as many things as possible for each area.

I don't really like the controls for this game, because it's either directional controls or the mouse. The mouse is kind of annoying because the snake keeps going in one direction until you click again, and it gets stuck on crap all the time. The keypad is irritating because it's not very precise and it'll just slide in one direction and you have to key mash to get it to move correctly.

It has a good soundtrack, and the screaming people are a nice touch to the game. I don't have any problems with the music. It has nice graphics and that's not really a problem either.

Cream Wolf

Driving around a town during the day

In this mildly satanic game, you control a werewolf-icecream truck guy who drives around cities for 2 days and then eats all his children customers during the 2nd night. You make ice cream out of the children you eat and then use the ice cream to tempt other kids to be your customers. Ew.

You start the game in your 'den' which is basically a deserted town thing which is retardedly brightly colored and annoying to look at. Then you drive around the town and play your music (which changes in every town you go to) and get kids to come over to your truck and buy ice cream from you. The music from your truck is kind of pleasant to listen to, and it's rather happy sounding, but the normal game music isn't really interesting.

During your werewolf phase you run around and kill/eat the kids you got. I like this phase because you can finally walk over the grass (ugh) to get to kids, even if you're just eating them. And the icecream names you get after batches of kids you eat is rather cool. Like Kidney Stone Road and Brain Freeze.

The artwork is intentionally crappy I think, but it makes the game kind of fun. The only real thing I disliked is how bright it is, and how slow your truck moves. Ick.

Flight

The Upgrade screen between flights

Flight is a game where you control a paper airplane and try to get it to Santa because you're a little girl in an orphanage or something and you don't have a mother and want to see her for Christmas. The plane flies around the world and hits people in the head and they keep interpreting the messages on the plane as something else and they flip out and send it around again. It's a pretty cool idea for a game. I don't think I've seen many like this. It's rather original.

The controls are kinda stupid because you can use the arrow keys to control it, but they're kind of slippery and make controlling the plane somewhat complicated. There's a bunch of upgrades you can get and most of them are rather useless in my opinion, but there's like one or two that are good, and they just give you fuel to fly for longer.

I don't think the game has any music, or my computer's volume was just too low. But that kinda makes it less fun. Music would've made it a lot better than it already is. Just flinging a plane with no music is kind of stupid.

Other than that it's a rather good game, and I liked it a lot. You can play it here.

Dinosaur Zookeeper

Your Dinosaur Zoo at nighttime (Complete with some blood 'n stuff cause they were killing each other)

Dinosaur Zookeeper is an extremely annoying game where you own a zoo, and you keep dinosaurs in it. Some of them are picky and retarded, and you have to keep them on different sides of the zoo or they'll run over and kill each other. Some are stupid and need lots of room to walk around in. Some are nice and just stand there and don't do anything. But most are jerks.

Its a rather simply animated game, and the most animation you see is when your dinosaur goes berserk and kills a bunch of people/other dinosaurs. Other than that they basically just stand in one place. The animation isn't really that good. They just kinda waddle in place. The animator could've tried a little harder, I guess. The only real problem I ever have is when Retard McTriceratops runs over and starts trying to kill the Stegosauruses, and then the park typically gets closed because the triceratops is a moron.

I kinda hate this game. I just get my park closed over and over. Not very fun. The music is kinda meh. It doesn't really fit the game, in my opinion.

Coma

Some of the beautiful graphics in this game

Coma is a pretty weird game in which you play as Pete, followed by your companion Birdie, trying to save your sister, who is locked in your father's secret basement. Which doesn't actually happen. Pete, as you can see above, is a little boy, who I'm assuming to be around, say, 8 to 10 years old? And Birdie is of course, his pet bird. You move with the arrow keys and the up key to jump, and those are the only controls in the game.

You start off in your home, The Dark House, and run around the building until you leave and appear on the porch, where you find Birdie. He is locked in a cage and tells you that your father has captured your sister and locked her in his secret basement, then tells you to go save her, and get him out of the cage. You then run over to a dock where you find your father, who tells you to go find what's clogging the pipes. The game goes on and you do a bunch of stuff that I'm not going to say so there aren't any spoilers.

There is some text throughout the game, such as This world is a lie and most frequently, Ring the dore bell (yes, I spelled that correctly, it's not door). I really don't know why they called it a dore bell. It's not a dore bell. It's a switch. But okay.

The soundtrack in the game really matches the mood, and makes the game even more fun to play. It changes in each zone you go into, like from The Dark House to Redwind Hills (the second zone you find). I'd kind of want to live in that kind of world just to listen to the music. It's great.

It's pretty obvious that you, Pete, is supposed to be stuck in a coma and you're journeying through your mind trying to wake up. That's a pretty awesome idea, which made it a pretty good game. The only thing I didn't like was that it seemed kinda short. Needs moar content. :c

GPX+ is a website where you can hatch, train, breed, and battle with Pokemon online. It isn't made by the actual company, but it is fanmade. All 6 generations of Pokemon (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos) are featured here. It's download-free, and there are thousands of players who play it all the time.

If you chose to make an account, the most useful links to you are on the left sidebar. Descriptions of them will be down at the bottom of the post. Less useful things are on the right side, where they may still be convenient. Your six party Pokemon are shown in the middle of the party screen, as shown in the screenshot. Above your last egg on the right side there is a button that says 'Open in Berry Feeder', which you can click to easily interact with all the eggs in your or other people's parties.

There is 100 levels you can level your Pokemon through, the later of which take a considerably larger amount of time to get through. Eggs also need many interactions so they can hatch, but they don't take nearly as long as it does to level Pokemon.

As you interact with Pokemon you acquire Points, which you use to buy things, such as items to make your Pokemon stronger in battle, items to evolve your Pokemon, or summoning stones that get you legendary/rare Pokemon.  You also get Pass Orbs from clicking, which you only get after the server reset every day. You can use Pass Orbs to buy features that make your eggs hatch faster, make you more likely to get trinkets, etc.

I kind of dislike that it takes an hour for eggs to hatch, and that some take over 100 interactions to hatch, because sometimes there are no people on. Another thing I dislike is how long it takes to get a shiny Pokemon (a Pokemon with a different color scheme, they hatch very rarely from eggs.). I've been hunting them forever.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Animal Crossing: Wild World is a game that imitates real life. In the game you are a resident of a small town (with a name you get to pick) with up to 8 animal neighbors and a few npcs who run shops and such. You can talk to other villagers, grow fruits, trees, and flowers, clothe your character, and decorate your own home. There are holidays in game that you can take part in, around the same days as normal American holidays with some exclusive to the game thrown in. You can change the date to whatever you want it to be so you can play fast forwarded or you can play it in real time to experience it normally.

The only negative side of this game that I can really think of is it makes you play for a longggggg time. It's just really addicting. Other than that, it's a great game. 10/10.

The newer versions of this game are City Folk and New Leaf. New Leaf is only for the 3DS I believe though, so I couldn't get to play it, because I have no idea where my 3DS is located at the moment.

Moby Dick the video game

Moby Dick is a game where you play as Moby Dick and kill people on boats 'n stuff. I believe the creator said he didn't actually read the book, so there are also aliens and things thrown in. There are a bunch of achievements you can get for killing certain things, surviving for long enough, or fulfilling certain criteria. There is one version of the game where you can read some of the 'story' for each chapter, but this version didn't have it and it was just survivability while you killed stuff. You control Moby Dick by using the mouse.

At the top of the screen is three meters; health, breath, and hunger. If you get hit by too many cannons, arrows, or other dangers you lose your health, and once it goes down the whole way, obviously, you die. If you stay underwater for too long you'll, of course, die. And if your hunger is at minimum for too long, once again, you will die. To get health back you can just eat things, like humans, aliens, fish, birds, an capsules underwater. For breath you get a different capsule underwater or just swim to the surface. For hunger, of course, you eat things.

As you eat more things you get larger and larger, eventually to the point where you can take down huge ships with only a few swings and can jump out of the water to about 75 meters up. Your health also gets larger as you increase in size so you can withstand more cannon hits and things.

I kind of disliked how the mouse control is sorta glitchy, because if you move it too fast you get flung way off course. Other than that I liked the game. Nice graphics and stuff. Etc.

As I said, you can play as the people listed above and kill the people who're also listed above, using exclusive moves to each person in different zones. The zones are Garden of Eden, Noah's Ark, The Parted Seas, The Manger, Hell, Golgotha, and Heaven.

 As I also have said, I'm terrible at this game so I really don't know much else about it. I'm really just good at key mashing. And dying. Many times in a row. I only won like two games.

Home Sheep Home 2: Lost in Space

Now you're thinking with sheep.

Home Sheep Home 2: Lost in Space comes from a long line of Home Sheep Home games, where these three sheep (Shirley is the largest, Shaun is middle, Timmy is the tiny one) go and get themselves lost in places and you have to control them and get them back to the farm or something. You use the keys 1,2, and 3 in order to pick which sheep to play as (in their respective order) and the arrow keys to move them around. They each have their strengths and weaknesses which makes the game more complicated in some parts.

This version is basically like the original version but you're just moving around a spaceship and there are portals 'n stuff ooo so amazing

Plants vs. Zombies

Plants vs. Zombies is a game you can buy from PopCap for $10 or so, or try a demo of it online somewhere. It's basically a tower defense game but in rows. There are 48 plants you can have that all do pretty much different things. The most basic are the peashooter, which is an extremely lightweight cannon-type plant and the sunflower, which produces sun, which is your only way of making plants. There are 26 basic zombies (not counting any fancy ones from mini-games).

Basically there's like 50 levels in which you just shoot the zombies with your fancy plants and mushrooms 'n stuff. And there's Gargantuars which are like impossible to kill. And there's that one boss zombie that takes like 20-30 minutes to kill the whole way. But other than that. It's a fun game yo. 10/10, would play the remakes of it.

This is a mildly annoying game in which you control an 8 bit pixel guy running around a space station trying to free his friends. You use the space bar to flip gravity so you can walk on the ceiling and floor, and you avoid enemies and spikes (at least, from the few levels I played). There's computer things to click on that transmit conversations between you (the captain) and other members of your crew.

I'm actually not sure whether the game has super slippery controls or I'm was just extremely laggy, but it was actually somewhat difficult to play for a bit, as I slid into spikes about 500 times in a row.

Other than that it's a rather fun game. 8/10 recommend. Die too much. Many sad. Much scare. Wow.

This Is The Only Level

This Is The Only Level, Stage One

I've played this before but I was like lol whatev doin it for le blog. Basically you control this blue elephant through one level (with many stages), overcoming stupid challenges in your way. The room has spikes that you can kill yourself on, a button in the middle of the room to open the 'doorway', and the door which is blocking the pipe. Once you go through the pipe the stage is completed and you continue to the next part. The stage name gives you a hint for each stage, such as 'UPPERCASE', or 'Not Always Straightforward', in which your arrow keys are switched.

There are 30 stages in this game, all about as equally hard as each other, each with different challenges. This is a rage game so they're all somewhat complicated, but not too difficult.

I died 81 times in the full run I did of it today. 10/10 fun game though. Do recommend.

Uhh so this is basically a game where you have a cookie on the left side of your screen, power up things on the right side, and a (list?) of your powerups in the middle of the screen. It's like a tower defense game without really doing anything besides looking at your pretty towers.

You start off by clicking the said cookie on the left side of le screen, getting cookies for each click. At the beginning all you get is one cookie per click. As you progress you get powerups, which help you get cookies (at bottom of post will be a list of the powerups I've unlocked and actually know about). Each time you buy a powerup you get a image of the powerup on a bar in the middle of the screen. As you buy them you get mini extra powerups that enhance them by increasing the cookies they produce by twice or other things like that.

At the middle top of the screen above your list of power ups there's a randomized list of a few sentences that say different things as the game progresses (such as, at the beginning 'Your cookies are popular in-town.', to 'Doctors advise against the new cookie-free fad diet.' and 'Elder gods from the whole cosmos have awoken to taste your cookies.' and finally when you get 10,000,000,000 cookies made, 'It's time to stop playing.')

On a side note, I apparently annoyed my mother to the point where she shook the fan around for about 5 minutes until she realized it was me making all the noise from clicking the cookie over and over. It's also pretty hard to click that cookie until you get one billion and a quarter cookies. Just sayin.

I also left this on overnight and got another 3 billion cookies whilst I was asleep. And apparently risked melting my computer. But it was worth it.

Robot Unicorn Attack

 

Robot Unicorn Attack c:

Seemed like a pretty basic starting game for this blog thing. Basically all you do is control said unicorn and run through various platformer landscapes, pressing Z to jump (to collect fairies/imps/presents) and X to dash (to break through glass stars in Normal edition, pentagrams in heavy metal edition, and snowflakes in christmas edition). Each edition features some snazzy music, the only soundtrack I could be bothered to find was Always by Erasure for the normal edition of Robot Unicorn Attack. After playing this for about 3 hours I managed to get 33k as my high score (meh).

However, directly after I posted this, I found Robot Unicorn Attack Evolution (le gasp). In this version after you smash into enough stars on each level your Robo Unicorn transforms into another robot animal (the list is, Unicorn, Panda, Wolf, Gorilla, Rhino, and finally, Dragon). Unsurprisingly I'm not much better at this game than the last one and I only made it up to Wolf phase.
